Tajmahal – NOT THE SYMBOL OF LOVE
Everyone in this world adore about the beauty of the Tajmahal, so called the symbol of eternal love. We, the Indians are really (SADLY) proud about Tajmahal, the top seven wonders of the world, symbol of love, blab la bla bla…..
I have disagreement with you all (if you say Tajmahal, symbol of love). I don’t really blame about the breathtaking architecture, adorable embellishments, fine crafts work, interiors and the real real strenuous work of thousands of people who involved in constructing the beautiful. Definitely, No can beat Shah Jahan for his creativity, out of the world thinking, etc which resulted with the flow of amazing architecture.
Why I hate Tajmahal depicting as the love symbol?
We all know that Tajmahal is built in the memory of the beautiful lady Mumtaz. The king Shah Jahan who could not tolerate the death of his wife spent 22 years to construct the beautiful monument.
Everyone says it depicts how much love Shah Jahan had on Mumtaz even after her death?
Is it really the love he carried? DEFINITELY NOT. Its Just the LUST..
Know these facts and you would be surprised rather, schocked..
Mumtaz is not the first or only wife of Shah Jahan, rather one of his dozens of wives.
She is married to another guy and was leading a very happy and pleasant life. ShaJahan applauded by the beauty of Mumtaz, killed her husband, her kid and married her. And yes refused to marry him. What does the KINGS do to get a girl thrown into their palace… He just did it.
She is used as a sex machine.(im trying to put some decent words), who used to fulfil the sexual desire of SO CALLED THE GREAT KING WHO CONSTRUCTED THE BEAUTIFUL LOVE ARCHITECTURE.
Do you know how mumtaz died?
She died on delivering their 14th baby.. Even now death rate during delivering the baby is high in underdeveloped countries. Imagine how Mumtaz would have suffered with continuous 14 pregnancies.
THANK GOD.. ATLEAST SHE DIED AT HER 14TH PREGNANCY…
Just Imagine how wild he is..Just because to enjoy the beauty of a girl…
And after her death, he constructed this luxury piece of shit, in memory of his love towards her.. ITS
DEFINITELY NOT LOVE..
Dont ever say to anyone that Tajmahal is the symbol of love..
Taj Mahal, the symbol of cruelty

Taj Mahal, the symbol of cruelty
You got me right here. The Taj is NOT the symbol of love. It is a symbol of cruelty. Those who call it the symbol of love either do not know what love is, or do not know history or are simply overlooking the facts upon the surface beauty of the building.
I am not discussing the fact that the Taj is quite possibly built on the place of a very old Shiva temple called Tejo Mahalaya. Stephen Knapp has already written an awesome article on it with photographs and scientific evidences. I am approaching it more in the humanitarian basis than that of religious.
The king of a soft and artistic nature
Shah Jahan is termed artistic and of a soft nature. This fact is comfortably presented because during his regime, no major war or invasion happened, owing to the iron-fist rule that Akbar had before. So the ‘spoiled-son-of-a-rich-man’ is left to taste the beauty of the world, arts and things under the sun. Apart from his lifetime task of reproducing 14 children from a single woman (Mumtaz), we get to see that he had appointed men to have detailed records of how birds mate, animals rejoice and so on. Very artistic indeed. We hear that he appointed an artist to wait upon a dying man and draw his portrait ‘at the moment of death’ to present the world the feel of it. Very artistic indeed.
Had he stopped his artistic nature with just these, it would have been ok to call him artistic because we do see historic records in him overseeing the creation of those beautiful gardens. But it didn’t stop there. He wanted something long-lasting, long after he was gone. He wanted to express the world his love towards Mumtaz, one of the many many queens in his chamber whom he loved the most. So a plan to construct a monument got his mind. The plan sets off quickly and the building came up with the tiresome effort of many artists worldwide. But the soft and artistic nature of the king and the purpose of a “monument of love” turns upside down when he cuts off the thumbs (some say the hands) of some 40 chief craftsmen who were involved in building the monument and signed threatening contracts to many others not to involve in a similar project. Let’s pause for a moment and see what love is.
The definition of love
Wikipedia – Love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection; and “the unselfish , loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another“. Love may also be described as actions towards others or oneself based on compassion, or as actions towards others based on affection.
What do the oldest and the grandest scripture of mankind, The Vedas define love as:
Love is the firstborn, loftier than the Gods, the Fathers and men. You, O Love, are the eldest of all, altogether mighty. To you we pay homage! – Atharva Veda IX, 2, 19
Greater than the breadth of Earth and Heaven or of Waters and Fire, you, O Love, are the eldest of all, altogether mighty. To you we pay homage! – Atharva Veda IX, 2, 20
Beyond the reach of Wind or Fire, the Sun or the Moon, you, O Love, are the eldest of all, altogether mighty. To you we pay homage! – Atharva Veda IX, 2, 24
According to the grandest scripture ever known to mankind – The Bhagawadh Gita, unconditional love – Love of God and love of a child to his mother and vice versa. This kind of love is the purest love of them all and all humans should love this way. This kind of love has no expectations, only forgiveness and respect.
Now having a glimpse of what real love means, we are moved by the following story of Adalaj Stepwell (given as it is from Wikipedia)
There is an interesting legend related to the building of this stepwell. In the 15th century, Rana Veer Singh of the Vaghela dynasty, a Hindu ruler, reigned over this territory, then known as Dandai Desh. His kingdom was attacked by Mohammed Begda, the ruler of a neighboring kingdom. The battle resulted in the Rana king getting killed. Consequently his territory was occupied by the invader. Rana Veer Singh’s widow, a beautiful lady known by the name Rani Roopba, though in deep grief at the death of her husband, agreed to a marriage proposal made by Mahmud Begada on the condition that he would first complete the building of the stepwell. The Begda who was deeply enamoured of the queen’s beauty agreed to the proposal and then built the well in quick time, and with great interest. Once the well was completed, Begda reminded the queen of her promise to marry him. But the queen who had achieved her ambition of completing the stepwell started by her husband, decided to end her life, as mark of devotion to her husband. She circumambulated the stepwell with prayers to God and jumped into the well, thus ending the saga of building the well in tragedy.
Wikipedia further tells us another legend that the invader asked if a replica of the well can and will be made for which when the masons accepted, he killed them as he didn’t want a replica of this architectural marvel. It is said that the queen designed it thinking the welfare of the villagers who can fetch water during summer. It is a surprise as to why these soft-natured men could not stand a thought on replica – our artistic hero Shah-Jahan could not tolerate the thought of a replica to the Taj either.
A black Taj
On the contrary, it is said that when he was kept in house-arrest by his own son, he wanted a replica of the Taj, a Black Taj connecting the white one where he wanted to be buried. This idea was promptly rejected by none other than his son Aurangazeeb who said “the existing Taj has place to bury him too” – love, do we say?!
Some may brush all these as mere myths, but the historians does not feel so and we have similar proofs of many other temples getting destroyed, wealth looted etc. After all, they came here to loot and not for social service or for the welfare of the land. Period.
We are living in a weird society. A warfare minister asking the right thumb of a potential conspirator as a guru dakshina (where we can only arrive at conclusions on why he did so) becomes a hot topic because of one grand reason – he was a Brahmin and they comfortably named Ekalavya as a low-caste so Drona must be bad. Had he thought only on clearing Ekalavya out of Arjuna’s pathway to supremacy, then Drona is partial indeed, but after all, he never claims to be perfect. We scream and debate on this a lot. On the contrary, an artistic butcher cuts down the thumbs of over 40 chief craftsmen, after getting their finest of workmanship, completely disabling them not just physically but mentally, emotionally and what not, to show the world his love for the woman who delivered his 14 children and died shortly after the 14th delivery, probably because of the over-time done as a delivery machine. We call that a symbol of love and regard him a great lover, we exclaim about the fact that his black beard turned pale white after losing the love of his life, that is blasphemy. The same pattern of killing and looting and butchering is followed by many other butchers before and after this artistic hero but we never mention it, not even in the history books because we are secular.
When I see the picture of the Taj, I see the silent cries of those craftsmen. Had Mumtaz lived, she probably wouldn’t have wanted such a cruel monument in the name of love as we see that she had great love to the king and the king loved her so much too. Probably he never would have built the Taj if she had lived but she over-worked already. Symbol of love? Far from it. I would rather call the Coral Castle a symbol of love made by a single man for his ‘sweet sixteen’ instead and his remarkable theories and inventions on magnetism that is still debated. Or the Adalaj Stepwell built by the queen thinking of the welfare of her people, in spite of having lost her beloved. After all, this is love and this is a nation which not just teaches love but lives it.
But (there is always a but), we may most certainly not know what really happened with Shah Jahan’s Taj or why Drona did that act. And as a seeker of Truth, we always keep our mind open and does not pin point or blame someone or something just because everyone does so. May be Shah Jahan did not cut off the fingers, maybe the place where Taj stands was not that of a Shiva temple and if that is the case, we truly will admire his artistic nature and the beauty of the Taj. But only may be, because the pattern and historic records we see about such looters talk otherwise, including the story of Taj. May be the Almighty does not want me to see this cruel monument. I have never visited the Taj, probably never will.
NOW AMERICAN MEDIA SHOULD COMPARE THE PROFILES OF DONALD TRUMP AND GOTABAYA RAJAPAKSHA TO UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS.

The Person Who Exposed EPDP’s Child Prostitution Was Abducted And No Information So Far
September 14, 2013 | Filed under: Colombo Telegraph,Most Popular,News,Popular Stories,STORIES | Posted by: COLOMBO_TELEGRAPH
The person who gave information to US Embassy about the EPDP ‘s child trafficking rings in Jaffna was abducted on May 07, 2009 and since then, no information has been obtained concerning him.
He told US Embassy Colombo on March 26, 2007; “The children are sold into slavery, usually boys to work camps and girls to prostitution rings, through EPDP’s networks in India and Malaysia. Sunthararaj maintains that children are often smuggled out of the country with the help of a corrupt Customs and Immigration official at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.”
Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa
“Sunthararaj’s story was partially verified by Government Agent Ganesh, who stated that the EPDP works in concert with the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) to operate Tamil prostitution rings for the soldiers. Ganesh stated that young women were taken and forced to have sex with between five and ten soldiers a night. Sometimes they are paid approximately a dollar for each “service.” The young women’s parents are unable to complain to authorities for fear of retribution and because doing so would ruin the girls’ reputation, making it impossible for them ever to marry” the US Embassy Colombo informed Washington.
Stephen Sinnavan Sunthararaj was the Project Manager at the Centre for Human Rights and Development (CHRD), well known for documenting cases of child abuse in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
The Amnesty International said; “On 7 May 2009, Stephen Sunthararaj was abducted by five men whilst travelling in his lawyer’s car in the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo. He had been released without charge from police custody a few hours beforehand and has not been heard from since. Amnesty International fears that he has been subjected to enforced disappearance because of his work at the Centre for Human Rights and Development in Colombo.”
On February 12, 2009, members of the Special Task Force (STF) tried to force Sinnavan Stephen Sunthararaj into a van as he was leaving his office. A nearby police officer and a colleague were able to prevent the STF members from taking Sunthararaj. The STF officers then requested that the police officer take him to the Kolpity police station where he was formally detained on the basis of a two-month detention order, without charge.
On May 7, 2009, the day of his release, he has been abducted by armed men. While Sinnavan Sunthararaj Stephen and his wife returned from Kolpity police office by car, two people on a motorcycle blocked their way. Meanwhile, a van stopped near the car. Five armed men in army uniform alighted of the van, opened the door of the vehicle in which Sunthararaj was travelling, bundled him into the van and sped off.
The abduction occurred in a busy and crowded street. Sunthararaj’s wife has identified one of the perpetrators of the abduction as one of the Criminal Investigation Department officers who had previously visited her home for inquiries while her husband was held at Kolpity police station. However, no investigation was initiated.
In December 2009, the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Palitha Kohana, had revealed at a meeting with United States Embassy and European Union officials that Sunthararaj had not been abducted but arrested, probably by intelligence services. Since then, Sunthararaj’s wife has been writing to the Office of the President of Sri Lanka, urging him to reveal Mr. Sunthararaj’s place of detention, and calling for his immediate release. She has still not received any response, in spite all her efforts.
US Department of State’s 2011 Country report on Sri Lanka noted; “There was no progress in solving the 2009 disappearance of Stephen Sunthararaj, project manager at the Center for Human Rights and Development. Sunthararaj was held by police without charges beginning in February of that year and was abducted by four persons in a white van wearing army uniforms shortly after he was released on a court order.”
Forced prostitution, sex slavery with GoSL complicity – US cable
[TamilNet, Wednesday, 22 December 2010, 02:39 GMT]
Forced prostitution and trafficking abroad for sex of Tamil children are amongst the organized criminal activities being undertaken with the knowledge of the Sri Lankan government by its troops and allied Tamil paramilitary groups, according to another Wikileaked US embassy cable from May 2007. The cable says these practices, which constitute war crimes, were raised “repeatedly” with Sri Lanka’s top leadership, including the President and top ministers. “The preponderance of [accounts] and the extent to which they independently corroborate each other points to a pattern of GSL complicity with paramilitary groups on multiple levels,” the then US Ambassador Robert Blake wrote.
“It appears that this [government] involvement goes beyond merely turning a blind eye to these [paramilitary] organizations’ less savory activities. At worst, these accounts suggest that top leaders of its security establishment may be providing direction to these paramilitaries,” he said.
When some military commanders wanted to clamp down on the paramilitaries, they received “orders from Defense Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa to not interfere with the paramilitaries,” the cable says (para3).
Earlier this year Secretary of State Hillary Clinton included Sri Lanka in a key speech at the United Nations on rape as a weapon of war.
The two main paramilitary groups – also registered as political parties in Sri Lanka – are the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) led by Douglas Devanda and the Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) led by Karuna.
When the cable was sent, in May 2007, Devananda was Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare. Since then both Devananda and Muralitharan have been ministers in President Rajapaksa’s government.
Providing details, the US cable cites accounts from “a growing number of trusted Embassy contacts, often at personal risk” the below (numbers refer to cable paragraphs):
In Jaffna the EPDP paramilitary group was running prostitution rings for soldiers, taking women and forcing them to have sex with between five and ten soldiers a night. (para18).
The EPDP also child trafficking rings from its base in Delft. Tamil children were taken and sold them abroad into slavery, usually boys to work camps and girls to prostitution rings, using the EPDP’s networks in India and Malaysia.
Preying on the ‘large number of widows’ in Jaffna, EPDP cadres seduce women with children, especially girls, with the promise of economic protection (para17).
The children are taken “sometimes by force and sometimes with the promise that they will be provided a better life” (para17).
The EPDP operated “in concert” with the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in extra-judicial killings, forced prostitution and child trafficking (para15).
Families began “arranging marriages for their daughters at a very young age in the hopes that the EPDP and [SLA] soldiers will be less likely to take them” (para18)
In the east, the TMVP operated prostitution rings for the military out of government-run refugee camps, and also forced women to give up their children for trafficking (para11)
The TMVP, which also became activite in government-controlled Jaffna “operates under government protection” and “is allowed to operate throughout the East in close proximity to SLA bases” (para5,8).
The average age of TMVP cadres was 14 and “the GSL allows Karuna’s cadres to recruit children forcibly from within IDP camps in the East” (para8).
As in Jaffna, in the East, “families sometimes try to arrange their daughters’ marriages at the age of 12 or 13 in the hope that it will reduce the likelihood of their being forced into prostitution.” (para11)
The US cable also notes that:
Forced abortions, often under the guise of a regular check-up, [are] being performed on Tamil women suspected of being aligned with the LTTE. (para15)
In addition to trafficking in children, the EPDP operates an illicit alcohol smuggling ring using child “mules.” (para18).
The US cable says Ambassador Blake, as well as the Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission and Chief Political Office, “have met repeatedly” with Sri Lanka’s President, Foreign Minister, Foreign Secretary, Defense Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa, Human Rights Minister and others to demand the paramilitaries are “reined in” (para19). So did senior US officials who visited the island.
Since completing his term in Sri Lanka, Mr. Blake became US assistant secretary of state for South Asia.
Trump Taj Mahal
The Trump Taj Mahal is a casino located at 1040 Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States, in the casino area along the shore. The casino is owned by Trump Entertainment Resorts, a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises. Before the poker room closed in 2015, the Taj Mahal had one of the largest poker rooms in Atlantic City, second in size only to The Borgata.
The casino was officially inaugurated by its then-owner Donald Trump in 1990, and was built at a total cost of nearly one billion dollars. Restaurants at the Taj include Dynasty, Il Mulino New York, Moon at Dynasty, Safari Steakhouse, and Hard Rock Cafe. It is also the home of Scores, the country’s first in-casino strip club.
In November 2014, the Trump Taj Mahal announced plans to close and cease casino and hotel operations by the end of the year if the union would not drop its appeal of the casino’s bankruptcy ruling, rebuffing their demand to restore health insurance and pension coverage. On December 18, 2014 the Trump Taj Mahal reached an agreement with its union and remained open, but did not restore the contested benefits.
In February, 2016, the Trump Taj Mahal was purchased by billionaire Carl Icahn as Trump Entertainment Resorts exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
TRUMP TAJ MAHAL IS A STRIP CLUB MONUMENT
In August of 2013, the struggling Trump Taj Mahal casino became the first casino in Atlantic City, N.J., to have an in-house strip club. Trump no longer operates that casino himself, but 2014 bankruptcy filings reported by The Wall Street Journal showed he held a 5 percent stake in the stock of the company that manages it, Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc.
“The seedy underworld of strip joints and sex trafficking and prostitution are often connected, and the idea that Donald profited from the exploitation of women directly is very discouraging to me,” said Nance.
AMERICAN MEDIA SHOULD FOCUS ON TAJ MAHAL NOW WHAT IT MEANS FOR ENTIRE WORLD.
